A tool kit aims to help UK firms bid for contracts with the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Produced by the Law Society, government body UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and law firm CMS, the kit contains insight and advice on the procurement processes involved in doing business with the Rio Organising Committee and the Brazilian government.

The Organising Committee, a non-profit organisation, will award contracts for the delivery of goods and services and non-permanent structures, with the biggest category being temporary construction, followed by transport and materials, and services for events. Other categories include outsourced services, catering, facilities, furniture and IT equipment.

The Brazilian government will award infrastructure contracts, such as stadiums, buildings and transport links.

The kit is available on request by contacting UKTI at sport@ukti.gsi.gov.uk
