Procurement and supply chain professionals should be strategic, work at earning credibility and be bold in their decisions if they want to get to the top.
That’s the advice from David Gosnell, president of global supply and procurement at drinks company Diageo.
Speaking in an interview published in the January 2014 edition of Supply Business
, Gosnell said: “Be strategic – understand your company and think like a business owner but keep to your strengths, as a buyer or supply chain expert.
“Work at earning credibility, deliver results and be clear on how your contribution increases your business’ profitability. Finally, be bold in your decisions and contributions.”
