If you have gone above and beyond your remit, strived for innovation and exceeded your manager’s expectations, then you should enter this year’s CIPS Middle East Awards.

This year there is a new category for those aged 35 or under, with the debut of the CIPS Middle East Young Procurement and Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year category in the region. This recognises the achievements of a young purchasing professional with a promising future. It will highlight the award winner as “one to watch” in the eyes of the profession, and the accolade would be a valuable addition to any CV.

Nominees need to demonstrate how they have gone beyond what is normally expected of someone their age and how they have driven innovation. The judges will be paying particular attention to the impact candidates have had on the operational or functional aspects of their organisation.

More senior members of the profession are invited to enter the CIPS Middle East Procurement and Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year category. This award will be presented to an individual who has successfully raised the profile of the profession and can demonstrate a significant contribution to their organisation.

Those who wish to enter or nominate an individual for either of the two awards should submit a 500-word statement explaining how they fulfil the critieria. The entry form can be downloaded here and the deadline for entries is 11 March.

This year’s awards ceremony takes place in the evening of the 19 May at the InterContinental Festival City in Dubai, following the CIPS Middle East Conference, which takes place during the day.

When completing your entry, it’s worth starting early to make sure you meet the deadline. Don’t be afraid to sell your success, back it up with evidence, and enjoy the process.
