The CIPS MENA Awards is now open for entries from procurement and supply teams and individuals based in the Middle East and North Africa.

You have until 4 March to make your submissions and winners will be announced on the evening of 19 May at the Intercontinental, Festival City in Dubai.

A prestigious CIPS MENA award is the highest accolade a company or individual in the region in the procurement and supply chain profession can receive.

This year four categories have been added taking the total number to nine. The additional categories are:

The ‘Best Contribution to Corporate Responsibility’, which recognises externally focused social, ethical and environmental, sustainability and community initiatives. The judges will be looking at the role the procurement or supply chain team has played in safeguarding or enhancing an organisation’s reputation and brand values.

‘Best Supplier Relationship Management’ requires a joint entry by the purchaser and the supplier, explaining how the two organisations have worked together and the benefits achieved.

‘Best People Development Initiative’ rewards training or development programmes that have substantially raised the understanding and skills of the procurement or supply chain management team and helped to deliver real improvements in performance.

The ‘MENA Young Procurement and Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year’ is the final new category. This is for individuals who are 35 years old or under and considered/consider themselves ‘ones to watch’. If you have achieved significantly beyond what is expected from managers of this age and experience, judges would be delighted to hear from you.
