Luxury fashion brand Mulberry is reducing the amount of stock it stores and boosting the efficiency of its supply chain with cloud technology.
The British company, which manufactures high-end leather bags, said it is implementing two cloud-based packages from supply chain specialist JDA Software to help it reduce the amount of products it keeps in store. This will enable the firm to move demand and order management to cloud-based solutions.
Commenting on the deal, Tom Powell, head of the supply chain management project, Mulberry, said: “By selecting JDA to improve our supply chain, we will be well positioned to deliver ongoing efficiencies and improvements.”
Powell added that the move was designed to help the company – which has a commercial partnership with TV presenter and model Alexa Chung – “to meet the aggressive timelines required by our business”.
