Purchasing professionals Neil Bradford of Sainsbury’s, Klaids Lafon de Ribeyrolles of Rolls Royce and Barry Ward of IBM will be among the speakers at the CIPS Annual Conference on Thursday.
The conference will focus on the themes of risk and resilience and delegates will be able to “learn the skills and techniques to turn supply chain threats into opportunities”.
Gerald Ratner, made famous for describing his jewellery firm’s products as “total crap”, will discuss the themes of the conference as they applied to his efforts to build a successful business after his fall from grace.
Discussion sessions will cover the challenges of attracting talent, cloud computing, business travel and fraud.
CIPS group CEO David Noble, CIPS president Paula Gildert, and CIPS economist John Glen will also be speaking.
