Outdoor clothing brand Jack Wolfskin has published a list of suppliers, to boost transparency of its supply chain.

The brand said the list is part of plans to gradually create a publicly available outline of all the stages of production.

The list contains a breakdown of all manufacturers across apparel, shoes and equipment. The companies are categorised as “level one” to distinguish them from earlier steps in the production process, such as the manufacturing of materials and extraction of raw materials. The suppliers are mostly in Asia, with some in Europe.

Jack Wolfskin aims to avoid all harmful substances, including fluorinated compounds, in its production process by 2020.
