A record number of organisations have been shortlisted for the CIPS Middle East Awards this year.

A total of 18 companies have been selected by the judges to compete for the prestigious prizes that recognise excellence in purchasing and supply across the region - from an unprecedented level of entries. The nominees in the seven team and two individual categories are drawn from across the Gulf states, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

For the first time at the ceremony, which will be held at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel in Dubai on 12 May, an overall winner will be crowned from among the victors in each category, and will be recognised at the CIPS Supply Management Awards 2014.
