Cherie Blair CBE QC will be the guest speaker at this year’s CIPS Annual Dinner.

A passionate campaigner and noted speaker on equality, ethics and human rights issues, Blair will address procurement and supply chain professionals at the annual black tie networking event at the London Hilton on Park Lane on 12 March.

Cherie Blair is a leading barrister specialising in public law, human rights, employment, arbitration and mediation. Throughout her career, she has focused on improving access, conditions and equality in the workplace.

She currently advises both governments and international corporations on how to improve and sustain strong human rights standards. As an advocate of the United Nations Global Compact, she also advises on implementing the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and works with business to develop and strengthen corporate social responsibility practices.

Her other roles include chair of Omnia Strategy, founder of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and an associate member of Matrix Chambers. She was awarded the CBE in the 2013 New Year’s Honours list for services to women's issues and charity in the UK and overseas.
