Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Surrey County Council and BAE Systems are among the 52 organisations who have made the shortlist in the team categories of the CIPS Supply Management Awards 2014.

JLR is nominated in no less than five categories, while Surrey and BAE are shortlisted in three categories apiece.

A further four organisations - Marks & Spencer, YPO, the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and Medway Council - have two nominations each.

YPO, Surrey, Medway Council and the CCS will be battling it out for Best Public Procurement Project, alongside Bedford Borough Council, BSO Procurement and Logistics Service and HM Revenue and Customs.

The award for Best Contribution to the Reputation of the Procurement Profession will be decided between the Department for International Development, NHS Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group and Royal Dutch Shell.

In the new categories for 2014 the Canal & River Trust and WWF will vie for Best Third Sector/Not-for-profit Procurement Project, while Most Innovative Use of Technology will be between AXA UK and NG Bailey.

The winners will be announced at a lavish black tie event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 11 September hosted by comic actor Stephen Mangan.

AirPlus International is the headline sponsor, Hays Procurement the platinum sponsor and QinetiQ Commerce Decisions returns as official technology provider for the judging.
