E-procurement providers Coupa, Basware and Ariba have been recognised as leaders in the field by Forrester Research.
The Forrester Wave e-procurement Q2 2014 noted that Coupa is “the most customer-centric organisation with the most flexible product”.
Basware was recognised for excelling in invoice automation and its capabilities for capturing, validating and processing of all types of invoices. Forrester praised Ariba for its broad e-purchasing capability and said it has the largest supplier network.
The three scored top points in Forrester’s evaluation of 11 leading e-procurement products. Other products include: Capgemini IBX; Ivalua; Oracle EBS; Oracle Fusion; Oracle PeopleSoft; SAP; SciQuest; Verian.
The report said: “Coupa, Basware, and Ariba lead the pack. All have good products across all criteria, with some unique strengths and few weaknesses. Coupa’s customer centricity, Basware’s invoice automation vision, and Ariba’s functional breadth elevate them into the top sector. Although none of the evaluated vendors have yet delivered a really good mobile app, Forrester believes that these three are the most likely candidates to deliver the smart, mobile solutions that CPOs need if they are to combat the threat to e-procurement adoption from sell-side e-commerce sites.”
