Unilever has been announced as the number one supply chain in the Gartner European Supply Chain Top 25.
Fashion retailers Inditex and H&M took the number two and three spots respectively, followed by Seagate Technology and Nestlé.
Gartner compiled the ranking using a combination of financial metrics including return on assets and inventory and the opinions of peers and Gartner analysts.
Stan Aronow, research vice president at Gartner, said: “The three top companies, Unilever, Inditex and H&M, are unchanged from last year as they’ve continued to lead the pack in supply chain excellence, and Seagate made its debut in the number four spot.”
Along with Seagate three other companies – Ahold, Delphi Automotive and Reckitt Benckiser – have joined the ranking for the first time.
