Suppliers and clients of PwC can have confidence it will treat them fairly, the firm has stated after achieving the CIPS Corporate Certification Advanced Standard – platinum.
The assessment of the company’s procurement as world class, means it can reassure its suppliers that it “operates with the highest principles, has transparent and ethical processes and values excellence”, according to Jeremy Willis, PwC’s director of procurement.
“PwC strives for excellence in everything it does, and achieving the highest accreditation from the pre-eminent professional body for purchasing and supply standards is an accomplishment that we are very proud of,” he added. “We realise that procurement best practice is continually evolving and we will need to be responsive to change to remain relevant.”
Willis added that achieving the standard shows the company has the appropriate expertise and experience in supply chain management and building the right engagement model between procurement and business stakeholders.
