Airbnb targets business travellers with free online dashboard

Airbnb has launched online tools to make it easier for firms to use the website for business travel.

The company, which enables people to rent out their homes by advertising them online, has produced a free dashboard that allows business travellers to book properties and charge them directly back to their companies.

The dashboard also enables travel managers to catalogue current and upcoming employee trips and export financial data and reports.

Airbnb said: “The streamlined and integrated payment system allows small businesses in particular a way to offer a wider array of accommodations for their employees’ business travel and receive reporting on employee spend.”

The firm, which was founded in 2008, said 250 companies, including Google, SoundCloud and Twilio, had signed up to its business travel programme since it launched in July last year.
