Call for automotive employers to support survey

6 July 2015

CIPS and the Automotive Industrial Partnership are calling on UK-based supply chain employers in the automotive sector to support a survey to identify current and future skills needs.

The Automotive Industrial Partnership is a £30 million joint industry and government initiative to address predicted skills challenges in the sector. Among the household names driving the partnership are Bentley, BMW, Ford, GKN, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Toyota and Vauxhall.

“This initiative is unprecedented,” said Jo Lopes, chair of the partnership. “By working together we have the opportunity to mould the future of our industry – and address the very real challenges that we face.”

Employers can complete it online at automotiveip.co.uk, or arrange a face-to-face interview with a researcher by contacting sara.bettsworth@industryforum.co.uk.

The research ends in mid-July and the results will be published this autumn.
