Procurement Hub launches IT services framework for housing providers

22 June 2015

Procurement Hub, the public sector buying club, is to launch an IT services framework for housing providers today.

The organisation, created by property firm Places for People, has appointed five IT suppliers across seven framework lots, to provide IT services for Places for People and other landlords to buy.

The free-to-join framework will offer expert advice and technical support in delivering core services. These include secure disposal of hardware assets, management of software licensing, mobile and Apple device integration, outsourcing of IT provision, as well as client and server hardware acquisition.

The framework will be launched at the Chartered Institute of Housing Conference and Exhibition 2015 in Manchester today.

Katy Mills, managing director of Procurement Hub, said: “The procurement mechanisms that Places for People has nurtured over the past six years have helped the organisation save valuable time and money. We’re delighted to be able to offer the same expertise that has helped Places for People develop as a company to other housing providers in the market, through the Procurement Hub.”
