CIPS Africa has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply (ZIPS) to enable long term collaboration between the two organisations focusing on membership, events, education and advocacy.
ZIPS and CIPS Africa hope to build a joint membership offering so professionals can receive both global and regional support.
“Employers which pay membership fees will benefit as their employees can be members of a local and global institute,” said André Coetzee, managing director at CIPS Africa. “The agreement will deliver value for the profession, organisations and members in Zambia,” he said.
Both organisations will make their content available for the other to evaluate.
“Both have committed to clarify how their educational programmes are mapped to provide a clear path for professionals in Zambia,” Coetzee said. This would lead to the internationally recognised MCIPS designation.
