Oliver Letwin takes over at the Cabinet Office

MP Oliver Letwin has been promoted by prime minister David Cameron to take charge of the Cabinet Office (CO).

Letwin will continue in his current role as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster but will join Cameron’s cabinet by taking ministerial control at the CO.

He takes over from Francis Maude, who was minister for the CO before standing down as an MP at the general election.
