Crestwood CEO Richard Masser to be next CIPS President

Richard Masser has been announced as the next CIPS President.

The chief executive of Crestwood and current chairman of the CIPS Global Board of Trustees will take over from incumbent Babs Omotowa in November.

The announcement was made at the CIPS Annual Conference in London yesterday.

Masser has been CEO at Crestwood, the provider of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom components provider since January 2008. He was elected to the CIPS Board of Management in 2011, and appointed as chairman of its successor, the Global Board of Trustees, in 2013.

He was previously founder and managing director of Quantum Global Product Solutions, which supplied furniture and hardware components to retailers including B&Q, Argos and Homebase. QGPS was acquired by Crestwood in 2008.

He was also previously operations director at Eurospace Furniture, and purchasing controller at Autogem. He became a CIPS Fellow in 2010.
