Two CIPS MENA Award winners have presented their projects at the latest CIPS Dubai Branch committee networking event.

John Gichuki, category manager at TNT Express UAE, outlined the winning entry for the Best Contribution to Corporate Responsibility award. Deepak Ramawat, procurement specialist at Emirates Global Aluminium Company, whose colleague Hariharan Laxminarayan was named CIPS Middle East Procurement and Supply Chain Professional of the Year, also presented.

CIPS is among a number of organisations that have acted as official project partners for a new publication, The Story of Parliament: Celebrating 750 years of parliament in Britain.

Published by The History of Parliament Trust and St James’s House Media, it is part of a research project charting the rise of parliament and exploring how instrumental it has been in shaping today’s Britain.

CIPS’ Birmingham branch is to be represented in a panel discussion on buyers’ views of sales people at the National Sales Conference.

Melanie Hawkett, education officer at the branch and director of Source & Effect, will participate in a question and answer session at the event, which takes place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 8 October.

The session will cover TACK International’s research report ‘Buyers’ View of Sales People 2015’, which is based on the opinions and preferences of global buyers. For more details visit
