United Biscuits picks HR director John Titmuss to lead supply chain

28 September 2015

United Biscuits (UB) has appointed John Titmuss to the role of group supply chain director.

He will move from his position of group HR director, which he has filled since joining the biscuit and cake manufacturer in 2013.

Before this, Titmuss was HR director of Hovis at Premier Foods. Previously he ran all of UK service, logistics and technical operations for Novar, now Honeywell, in the UK, and ran the central operations of the Indalex Aluminum Solutions business in North America.

United Biscuits chief executive Jeff van der Eems said Titmuss had been instrumental in the transformation of the business since his arrival, particularly in operations and the culture change programme of the firm.

“John will bring a different perspective to the supply chain which I believe will help take it to the next level in terms of talent development, operational excellence and our determination to make UB a great place to work for many years to come," he said.
