Great potential for Iranian oil but barriers remain

Iran’s oil and gas sector boasts great potential post-sanctions but several barriers remain for investors, according to Douglas-Westwood (DW)’s latest Iran Oil & Gas Market Forecast.

Market research organisation DW said the lifting of international nuclear-related sanctions in January 2016 represents a significant step forward for Iran’s re-entry into the global oil & gas market. But international banks remain cautious about processing Iranian payments.
