The CEO of one of the firms hoping to win Australia’s biggest ever defence contract has claimed that an entire fleet of submarines should be manufactured in Australia.
Hans Atzpodien, CEO at ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems, told the press there was no reason why the manufacturing could not be carried out domestically by whichever foreign company wins the contract.
