North Sydney to increase New Year toilet spend

North Sydney Council is to increase its spending on temporary toilet facilities for the 2016/17 New Year celebrations after receiving complaints that attendees were forced to wait for up to 90 minutes to use the facilities for 2015/16. 

In minutes published for the 18 April session, events manager Gemma North, recommended that the budget be increased by $50,000 to cover 'additional toilets', 'infrastructure', and 'wayfinding signage'. North explained that the funds had been added to the draft budget for 2016/17, which the council will vote on later this year.
