A Senate committee has called for Australia’s coal-fired plants to be phased out.
In a report, the Environment and Communications References Committeesaid that Australia’s ageing fleet of coal-fired power stations were becoming increasingly uneconomic and that country should prepare for the orderly closure of these plants.
