CIPS has launched an online resource hub to help members further develop their procurement and supply chain skills.
The hub has been created in partnership with software firm BravoSolution and it will aid members with their continuing professional development, allowing them to improve their organisation’s business performance. Resources include case studies, practitioner insight and best-practice examples, which will give practical solutions to everyday challenges.
CIPS said the resources are designed to give accredited CIPS members the tools and knowledge they need to develop beyond conventional procurement practices and deliver more value for their organisations.
The resources include text-based and video content around several themes. These include risk-management, spend analysis, tracking and reporting of savings, simplifying RFx processes across organisations, validating and justifying procurement decisions, supporting supplier collaboration, engagement and development, and fostering innovative approaches to procurement.
David Noble, group CEO, CIPS, said procurement professionals need to stay on top of all trends, market changes and best practice in a quickly-changing and highly competitive global market.
“This new knowledge partnership with BravoSolution will encourage procurement professionals to think more strategically and empower them to be more confident in applying new ideas and approaches that add value to their business, and beyond,” he said.
Noble added that the hub’s resources would be region-specific. He said: “BravoSolution has local teams operating all across the globe, including in the UK, China, Scandinavia, MENA and APAC regions, which aligns nicely with the geographic makeup of CIPS membership, ensuring members receive resources that are tailored to the trends and challenges specific to their area of the world.”
