Alibaba announces new anti-counterfeit platform

Alibaba is trying to improve the way it collaborates with brands to remove counterfeit products from its websites.

China is notorious for its counterfeit goods. Last year the state news outlet,Xinhua, reported 40% of goods bought online in China were fakes.

Alibaba Group, an e-commerce conglomerate, owns some of China’s most popular online shopping sites.
