Iran is to halt gasoline imports after 36 years as it ramps up domestic oil production.
Abbas Kazemi, managing director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, said the country was currently importing 5m litres of gasoline a day, but there was no allowance in next year’s budget for gasoline imports.
