SA Treasury probes corruption allegations

South Africa’s National Treasury is to investigate allegations of corruption against chief procurement officer Kenneth Brown.

Mzwanele Manyi, founder of Decolonisation Foundation, and president of lobbying organisation Progressive Professionals Forum, took to Twitter to report that he was in receipt of documents indicating unlawful deposits being made into Brown’s bank account. He forwarded the papers to the Hawks, the police unit that investigates corruption.
