East African infrastructure projects 'ripen' trade opportunities

Trade between the US and East Africa has doubled in five years but “significant obstacles” remain.

In a report the US Chamber of Commerce said trade increased 103% between 2010 and 2015, while in 2014 US exports to the East African Community (EAC) were worth more than $2bn.
