MPs concerned over 'stalled' South African police radio upgrade

MPs are demanding answers over a “stalled” R1bn project to upgrade the police radio system in South Africa.

The Portfolio Committee on Police (PCP) said it was “concerned” after visiting a project site in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality in the Eastern Cape and discovering a service provider had stopped working due to non payment and construction work was delayed.
