Expo 2020 Dubai expected to spend one fifth with SMEs

SMEs are expected to win 20% of direct and indirect spend for the 2020 world fair to be held in Dubai, according to the organisers, with more than £1bn in contracts already handed to SMEs.

Of the 787 contracts already awarded, 320 have been won by SMEs, said Reem Al Hashimy, minister for international cooperation and director general Bureau Expo Dubai 2020.
