China sets new record for electronic chip consumption

China has cemented its position as the major player in the global semiconductor industry, increasing its chip consumption and production at a greater rate than the rest of the world.

In a report PwC said China’s share of the consumption market increased by 5.9% in 2015 to 58.5% of the worldwide total – a new record.
