Nigerian officials who kept government cars for private use on their retirement have had the vehicles seized.
The country’s corruption watchdog, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), recovered 40 official cars and other vehicles from civil servants who were working or had previously worked for the Ministry of Water Resources. The officials now face criminal charges.
