Council suspended over procurement wrongdoing

An investigation into multi-million dollar procurement and tendering irregularities has led to a Western Australian local government being suspended.

Western Australia’s local government minister Paul Miles suspended the Shire of Exmouth’s president and councillors for six months and appointed a commissioner to oversee the local government.
