Election procurement boss fired

Kenya’s electoral commission has fired its procurement director Lawy Aura and accused him of incompetence less than two months before the country’s general election. 

The Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) said in a statement that it had relieved Aura of his duties, “necessitated by incompetence that has made operations untenable as we fast approach the General Election”.
