West has 'underrated' China's new Silk Road

Germany’s ambassador to China has warned Western countries against ignoring the importance of China’s new Silk Road project, despite concerns it is too China-centric.   

Ambassador Michael Clauss told the Foreign Correspondents’ Club that Germany saw a lot of merit in the scheme, but felt many were ignoring it, especially in Europe and the United States, according to Reuters.
