Mitsubishi to supply trains for Manila transit system

Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi has won a US$267m contract to supply 120 train cars for a light rail transit (LRT) system in the Philippines.

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) said under the contract, Mitsubishi will supply a total of 30 train sets, which will be constructed by Spain-based rail manufacturers Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) and equipped with Japanese components.
