China to develop 'smart supply chain system'

China’s State Council has announced plans to advance innovation in the country’s supply chains.

The government has produced guidelines with the overall aim of establishing a “smart supply chain system” that covers major industries by 2020, by “introducing a batch of new supply chain technologies and models and the cultivation of about 100 world-leading enterprises in China’s supply chain sector”.
