Korean conflict threatens global tech supply chain

The high-tech supply chain could take years to recover from conflict on the Korean peninsular, an analyst has warned.

The potentially devistating human cost of even non-nuclear conflict between North and South Korea are well known. The South’s capital Soul and its 25m inhabitants live within range of the North’s artillery weapons.

But also at risk are hundreds production sites, relied upon by thousands of high-tech suppliers that, if taken offline, could disrupt electronics manufacturing for several years.
