Deal signed for $368m food zone

A AED1.35bn ($368m) deal has been signed by Dubai Holding and a Chinese firm to create a massive new food manufacturing zone.

The China-UAE Food Industrial Cluster, a partnership between Dubai Food Park (DFP) and Ningxia Forward Fund Management Company, will cover 4.38m sq ft and contain 30 food plants, including two Chinese catering companies and two advanced manufacturing plants for packaging materials.
