Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has announced it is helping domestic potato farmers increase production following a shortage that halted sales of some potato chip products.
A series of typhoons last year damaged Japan’s potato production in the Hokkaido prefecture, where around 80% of Japan’s chipping potatoes are grown.
