Saudi invests in ‘smart Hajj’

Saudi Arabia is providing 2m gigabytes of mobile data to muslims performing the Hajj, as part of a drive to modernise the annual pilgrimage.

Pilgrims signed up to mobile packages provided by the kingdom will each receive a gigabyte of data for 48hrs this week, in a bid to ease communication between friends and family members.
