Palm oil giant Wilmar International plans to use satellite and digital technologies to monitor suppliers and end deforestation in its supply chains by 2020.
The company is working alongside sustainability consultancy Aidenvironment to draw up a mapping platform of comprehensive data on suppliers in countries where palm oil is prevalent such as Indonesia and Malaysia.
