UAE signs deal to test 'smart home farm'

The United Arab Emirates has agreed to work with sustainable development company Masdar on prototype urban farming projects, as part of a drive to improve the nation’s food security.

In an announcement on Monday, the Office for Future Food Security said they had signed a memorandum of understanding with the company to build a vertical farm and a “smart home farm” in Masdar City.
