Procurement Power List revealed

21 June 2018

The definitive list of the most influential people in procurement in 2018 has been unveiled by CIPS and Supply Management.

The inaugural Procurement Power List was revealed at an exclusive event in London last night.

The list of 30 names, plus 10 ones to watch, recognises leaders in the UK and Europe who are pushing procurement and supply chain strategy forward, making a positive contribution to the reputation of the profession, via the value to their own organisations and the work they do to raise the profile of the profession more widely.

It was compiled in partnership with industry experts and executive search agencies including Korn Ferry, Odgers Berndtson and Russell Reynolds.

CIPS interim group CEO Gerry Walsh said: “The Procurement Power List is a celebration of the very best in our profession, those who are leading the way and inspiring others.

“These leaders are demonstrating the great impact that procurement can have within their own organisations; whether that is business growth, increased innovation, shaping and developing supply markets or improving the wider community, to list but a few. CEOs, business leaders and senior government officials all see the true value that procurement brings to the table over and above the savings.”

CIPS group director Cath Hill added: “We were looking for CPOs who were both credible and had a great external brand perception in the market. Someone whose peers look to them for inspiration and who contributes to the wider profession.”

The list will evolve and change annually. Hill said: “If you haven’t made it to the list this year then put yourselves out there, shout about your successes, engage with the wider community and I hope to be reading your name next year.”
