The UK’s big tea brands have been called on to publish lists of their suppliers following criticism of women’s working conditions on tea plantations in Assam.
The Traidcraft Exchange’s report The Estate They’re In found the mostly female Assam tea plantation workers it investigated were being paid just over £1.50 a day.
