NSW introduces 3% Aboriginal procurement target

The government of New South Wales (NSW) plans to create 1,000 jobs for Aboriginals through a new procurement policy.

The Aboriginal Procurement Policy (APP) aims to award Aboriginal owned businesses at least 3% of domestic contracts issued by the state’s government agencies by 2021, and increase the number of Aboriginal people employed through government contracts.
