China calls for code of conduct in South China Sea

China wants a code of conduct for the South China Sea to be in place within three years, premier Li Keqiang said.

Speaking in Singapore on Tuesday, Li said such an agreement between China and Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) member states would ensure peace and stability in the politically contentious region.
