National oil company ADNOC will invest $45bn in its Ruwais industrial complex

Abu Dhabi building 'world's largest' oil refinery

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) is to build homes for more than 24,000 people as part of an expansion of a residential area which serves a major oil refinery.

The project will nearly double the population of Ruwais City, a 6.9 sq. kilometre residential area near the Ruwais industrial complex, to more than 50,000 people over 15 years, said ADNOC.
